3月28日，2021“携手添新绿 共话友谊情”国际友人植树活动暨“南京城市国际化紫金友好使者”选聘仪式在南京国际友谊公园举办。南京银行副行长米乐·科雷沙、荷兰贸易促进委员会驻南京代表处首席代表理查德、日本导演竹内亮、奥码拓（南京）高新科技有限责任公司首席技术官沃尔夫冈·皮特温霍尔德等12位热心于南京城市国际化建设的在宁国际友人获聘第二批“南京城市国际化紫金友好使者”。

　　The 2021 Awarding Ceremony of Zijin Friendship Ambassador of Nanjing Urban Internationalization was held on March 28 in Nanjing International Friendship Park. 12 international friends living in Nanjing that have been devoted in the city’s internationalization, including Miro Kolesar, Executive Vice President at Bank of Nanjing, Richard Antonie van Ostende, Chief Representative at NBSO China, Takeuchi Ryo, Japanese director, and WolfgangPeter Weinhold, CTO of AMT (Nanjing) were awarded with the honor.

　　本次活动由南京市城市国际化推进办公室作为指导单位，南京市商务局、南京市人民政府外事办公室、建邺区人民政府、江苏省广电总台国际频道共同主办，建邺区城市国际化推进办公室承办。南京市副市长、南京市城市国际化推进办主任沈剑荣出席活动并为国际友人颁发聘书。江苏省广播电视总台副台长、集团副总经理任桐、南京市政府副秘书长、市城市国际化推进办副主任陶磊、建邺区区长姜宸参与活动。

　　This ceremony was guided by the Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization, organized by the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, Jianye District People’s Government, and Jiangsu International Channel, and co-hosted by the Promotion Office of Jianye Urban Internationalization. Shen Jianrong, Vice Mayor of Nanjing and Director of the Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization, attended the ceremony and presented letters of appointment to international friends.Mr. Ren Tong, Vice President of Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, Mr. Tao Lei, Deputy Secretary General of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government and Deputy Director of Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization, and Mr. Jiang Chen, Head  of Jianye District attended the event.

　　聘任仪式后，中外嘉宾一同参观了位于南京国际友谊公园内的国际友好城市展览馆。展览馆建筑面积1100平方米，设亚洲厅、欧洲厅、美洲厅、大洋洲厅、非洲厅等7个展厅。馆内藏有各友好城市赠品近170件。参观的中外嘉宾纷纷表示，国际友好城市展览馆生动形象地展示了南京市国际友好交流合作的成果。

　　After the awarding ceremony, the guests visited the Nanjing Sister Cities Exhibition Hall located in the park. With an area of 1100 square meters, the exhibition hall has 7 showrooms such as Asia Hall, Europe Hall, America Hall, Oceania Hall and Africa Hall. It is home to nearly 170 gifts from sister cities of Nanjing. The guests said that the exhibition hall displays Nanjing's international friendly exchanges and cooperation in a vivid way.

　　随后，中外嘉宾来到公园内的国际友谊林，共同种下水杉树，为南京的春天播种新绿，为国际交往增风添彩。

　　After the visit, they went to the International Friendship Forest and planted metasequoia together, adding some fresh green color to the city of Nanjing.

　　Watered by the guests at home and abroad, ttrees representing international friendship were taking root in the land of Jinling. "Making Nanjing greener through joint efforts with international friends” -- this is just what the "Zijin Friendship Ambassador of Nanjing Urban Internationalization" recruitment activity hopes to convey.

　　谈及国际合作的未来，荷兰贸易促进委员会驻南京代表处首席代表理查德表示：“南京国际化的进程就像种树一样，我们将为中荷双方的人员和企业播撒种子，创造机会”。日本导演竹内亮则希望“让更多的中国人了解日本文化，也让更多日本人了解中国文化。”

　　Speaking about the future of international cooperation,Richard Antonie van Ostende,the Chief Representative at NBSO China said: "We planted the tree, it will grow and develop. The same thing is for the internationalization of Nanjing. We bring the people and enterprises together, together we grow together we develop, grow some beautiful flowers together."Japanese director Ryo Takeuchi wants to "let more Chinese people know about Japanese culture, and more Japanese people know about Chinese culture."

　　国际文化交流是中国文化走向国际舞台的重要途径，在此次活动中，主办方还准备了精彩纷呈的非遗体验，将拓印、制作纸鸢等具有吸引力、感召力的文化元素融入到对外文化交流的全过程。

　　International cultural exchange is an important way to bring the Chinese culture to the international stage. In this event, the organizer also prepared wonderful intangible cultural heritages for the guests to experience, adding rubbing, traditional kite making and other attractive and inspiring cultural elements into the whole process of foreign cultural exchange.

　　自去年开始，南京市城市国际化推进办公室启动了“南京城市国际化紫金友好使者”的选聘活动，以进一步加深在宁外籍人士对中国文化和南京经济社会发展的了解，向国际社会传递南京以开放促进国际合作的决心。目前已选聘两批共24位国际友人担任“南京城市国际化紫金友好使者”。

　　Since last year, the Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization has launched a campaign to appoint the "Zijin Friendship Ambassador of Nanjing Urban Internationalization" as an effort to further deepen foreigners’ understanding of Chinese culture and Nanjing's economic and social development, and to convey Nanjing’s determination to promote international cooperation to the international community. 24 international friends have been appointed as "Zijin Friendship Ambassador of Nanjing Urban Internationalization" so far.

　　近年来，南京通过扩大国际合作、提升国际服务、讲好南京故事，不断提升城市国际化水平。目前，南京同16所高校签署《校地合作共推南京城市国际化备忘录》，并同23个“生根”国家建立29个海外协同创新中心；在国内首创推出“海智湾”国际人才街区品牌，逐步完善涉外“一站式”服务平台；自自贸试验区南京片区获批建设以来，积极深耕自贸区“试验田”、种好综保区“高产田”、培育联创区“推广田”、深化服贸区“特产田”；积极加入国际组织，成为中国唯一的国际和平城市和“世界文学之都”。

　　In recent years, Nanjing has been improving its internationalization by expanding international cooperation, improving international services and telling more Nanjing stories to the world. So far, Nanjing has signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with 16 universities, and established 29 overseas collaborative innovation centers with 23 countries. Meanwhile, Nanjing introduced Brian Bay International Talent Community in China, and gradually improved the "one-stop" service platform for foreigners. What’s more, Nanjing has joined many international organizations and become the only international city in China that wins the title of "City of International Peace" and UNESCO’s "City of Literature".

　　在多项城市排名中，南京国际排名实现争先进位，城市国际影响力进一步提升。在国际知名研究机构GaWC发布的《世界城市名册2020》中，南京全球排名第87位。在全球知名管理咨询公司科尔尼发布的《全球城市指数2020（GCI）》中，南京全球排名第86位。在全球知名专业服务机构普华永道发布的《机遇之城2021》中，南京综合排名稳居全国第6位。其中，“智力资本和创新”维度排名上升1位，“可持续发展”维度排名由第15名升至全国第5名，大幅跃升10个位次。

　　Nanjing has made impressive progress in several city rankings in recent years.Nanjing is ranked 87th in the "World Cities List 2020" published by GaWC and 86th in the Global Cities Index 2020 (GCI) released by Kearney. Nanjing ranked sixth in the "City of Opportunity 2021" by PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PWC). Among the 10 indicators of PWC, Nanjing saw one score leap in "intellectual capital and innovation", ranking the third; the fourth in "transportation and urban planning"; and jumped an impressive 10 places to the number 5 spot in "sustainable development" by a large upswing.
